Welcome to International Journal of Geriatric Orthopedics (IJGO)
The International Journal of Geriatric Orthopedics (IJGO) is committed to rigorous scholarly publishing ethics, permanent digital preservation, and unambiguous scientific discoverability. We strictly adhere to the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).
In strict adherence to international academic publishing best practices, IJGO maintains an authentic, transparent indexing policy. We display only confirmed and active indexing databases, repositories, and identifiers. We firmly reject predatory publishing practices and do not display aspirational logos, unverified claims, or misleading metric badges. All indexation statuses are verifiable via the official directories listed below.
Articles published in IJGO are comprehensively indexed and searchable across major international academic discovery systems, ensuring maximum global reach for our authors’ research.
Official registration of persistent Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs), citation linking, and permanent metadata harvesting.
Complete full-text crawler discovery and citation indexation via automated academic Dublin Core & HighWire metadata tags.
Scholarly communication discovery, researcher profile linking, and peer citation tracking across global orthopaedic communities.
Directory of Open Access Scholarly Resources, managed by the ISSN International Centre with support from UNESCO.
The world’s largest global library network catalog, enabling academic university libraries to discover and reference IJGO records.
Automated scientific literature database aggregating open scientific papers and linking Crossref DOI metadata.
As a newly established peer-reviewed publication fulfilling mandatory publication volumes and longevity thresholds, IJGO adheres to the strict criteria required by DOAJ, Scopus, and PubMed Central (PMC). Applications for evaluation are submitted sequentially as publishing milestones are fulfilled. In accordance with publication ethics, badges for these registries will only appear upon confirmed acceptance.
Every peer-reviewed article published in IJGO is assigned a unique, globally resolvable Digital Object Identifier (DOI) registered through Crossref.
To guarantee that published scientific research is never lost due to catastrophic server failures, technological obsolescence, or cessation of publication, IJGO enforces multi-tiered digital preservation protocols:
Participation in international decentralized digital preservation networks (including PKP Preservation Network and LOCKSS/CLOCKSS principles) to store immutable archival copies across geographic repositories.
Authors retain the unrestricted right to deposit their preprints, accepted author manuscripts (AAM), and published PDF (Version of Record) in institutional and national open repositories.
All articles are rendered and securely stored in standardized PDF/A archival formats and structured JATS XML to ensure future software readability and machine parsing.
